Bulb Planting Guide
How do you add color to your garden in Spring?
Plant bulbs!
By the end of winter, I need color, and planting bulbs in my garden brings both color and texture β starting so much sooner than most of the other perennials in my garden. While our native plants can be slow to awaken, daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths burst forth with cheerful blooms that are pretty resiliant in late-spring snows. Bulbs are easy, beautiful, and relatively inexpensive, too. They also can be good early food for pollinators who may emerge from hibernation before native plants are ready. Planting bulbs correctly ensures that you have blossoms for years to come, too. So, here are my bulb-planting tips, tricks, and recommendations for a gorgeous spring and summer garden.
Ok. Letβs get started!
