When I started gardening I began with a collection of pots abandoned by a previous tenant in my duplex, a trowel, and a pair of gardening gloves. Over the years I have collected a few more tools and bits of gear, books and resources which are extremely helpful. But in the end, it’s not the stuff that makes the garden grow — it just might make things a little easier for the gardener. So what I share here are recommendations for books and products that I genuinely love and use in my own garden. But I started with a few second-hand pots and a trowel. There’s nothing wrong with that, too.
